Jackie's with her new mom!

Hello All,

Just wanted to let you know I just got back from handing Jackie over to her new Mom.  Jackie snoozed on the ride up and was a complete lady meeting Somill.  Somill even taught her to lie down using some extra tasty treats (apparently mine weren't worth the effort:)).

Thank you all (including Veronica at East Valley!) for getting this little girl to safety.  I was amazed at what 24 hours outside the shelter walls could do for her.  It will still take some time for her trust being touched everywhere by someone new, but by the end of last night we even romped and rough-housed together without incident.  I'm very excited about the life she will lead up in Northern California.

Here are some additional pictures:
Jackie snoozing patiently while waiting for my cable and internet to be installed, Jackie taking a morning nap after breakfast, the ride up north, Somill teaching her to lie down, and a portrait of a happy ending--which ofcourse leads to a beautiful new beginning for Jackie and her family.

Thank you again for all who made this possible, and I feel honored to have witnessed her come out of her shell moment by moment and spend a couple of days in my home with me.

stephanie.
