Versaille's Saturday Trip

Versaille was a very sick pup whose owners surrendered him in Arizona, probably due to his sickness.  He needed a lift to a foster home, so Karen from French Bulldog Network (who I transported Freeman for--my kick-off to the cross-country adventure, as well as Simba for) asked me to make one leg of the journey from Escondido to Playa del Rey.  It was a short drive, so I didn't get to know him well.

Hi Karen,

Here are some pics.  Versailles was adorable!  He really was alert when he wanted to be, and enjoyed a good cuddle if one was offered.  I'm sure Linda has some good pics--mine were blurry.  I don't remember seeing the crazy projections from Steve's head when I took the photo--I think it's a clock in the background.

Sy made fast friends with Justin, Michelle's son.  He wanted nothing more but to be on him or under him or just touching him.  He was fine in the car-- a little nervous at first, but stayed awake the whole time, checking things out.  When we arrived, he began to tremble, like he understand some big change was happening.  He didn't do it again until I went to leave.  I'm amazed how all these dogs just "know" the moment when change is about to hit.  For good or bad, it doesn't matter, it's still "different."  But he's a good boy and I think once his health is in order, his true personality will shine through!

Could you forward these to Michele (or is it Michelle?) for me?

Thanks!

stephanie.
